석남녹지도시숲 Seoknam Green Urban Forest — A neighborhood forest for a barefoot walk

Donnattang · Visited 2026-10-08

#1 Four connected areas

52 Gilju-ro. A forest in the middle of the neighborhood. The park connects four areas, each with a different name on its sign. The sign where I entered said ‘석남이음숲’. Despite the different names, it is all one park.

#2 A loop along the forest paths

Around lunchtime, I take a loop through the forest. Up stone steps, along a path lined with benches, and under a wooden arch. The trees cast long stretches of shade.

#3 Barefoot

At the red-clay path, I take off my shoes. I walk barefoot over the clay. If I had to pick one thing to do here, this would be it.

#4 The swing and the pavilion

I sit on the heart-shaped swing, then in the pavilion. Quiet. Few people around. Each area has a different name and a different look, which makes the walk enjoyable.

#5 After a meal

It is close enough for a pleasant walk after eating in the neighborhood. A forest for local people rather than a sightseeing destination.

A word for visitors from abroad

Different names on the signs still refer to the same park, so do not worry. Take off your shoes and try the barefoot path. There is no entrance fee.

What I did · What I paid

  • A loop along the forest paths, the barefoot red-clay path, and a rest on the swing and in the pavilion
  • Free admission

No festivals or famous sights today either — for me, a meal like this is a trip in itself.
